Public Champion for Mobilising Community Assets - NHS England - Healthy London Partnership - 2016
In June 2016, NHS England (London) created a this Champion role for me because my model of community brokerage was so interesting to them. I now sit on the Personalisation and Self-Care Policy Delivery Committee and am contributing to guidance for commissioners on social prescribing. 22nd Sept I shall be speaking at the social prescribing conference, London.
Funding for Training - 2014/15
A joint funding bid made with ALAG (Aspergers London Area Group) won some money from the Dept of Health's autism innovation fund. This will lead to my training other members of the ALAG group, so that we can support each other better, write support plans, and pool our resources to create new groups of shared interest. Previously, I also won Skills for Care money, to provide free training to disabled people in 2012/13.
A4A Conference 2012 - Not Strictly Advocacy

The conference was very interesting and looking at whether the future of advocacy is inextricably tied up with the provision of advice or not, and whether this was ethical.
